The Retreat's 3,000 acres were originally inhabited by Indian tribes who chose this land because of the serene beauty, abundant wildlife and access to the Brazos River. From the early 1860's to late 1870's the land was occupied by pioneer families, beginning the early birth of the Morgan Ranch. With the use of natural spring creeks, cave dwellings and remarkable hunting and fishing for survival, this piece of history is part of the remaining virgin territory in Johnson County.
This secluded, private paradise is filled with 100 year old live oak trees, rolling hills and spectacular views offering a piece of history with every glance. Once again the opportunity presents itself in an ideal location, beautiful terrain and a warm community atmosphere. The Retreat is proud to lead the way in upscale residential and club opportunities.
